Course Offer : DIPLOMA NURSING (GNM)

 Description of three & half year Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery Course. Diploma in Nursing is a 3 ½ years course. Which includes midwifery Examination at the end of each year. Examination is conducted by the Karnataka State Diploma Nursing Examination Board, Bangalore. After passing the course the students are eligible to get the registration from Karnataka State Nursing Council, Bangalore.

 

ADMISSION REQUIREMENT

1.    All applicants must have passed P.U.C. II year (10+2) preference will be given for Science students.
2.    All applicant must have completed 17 years age on or before the date of joining and Not exceeded 35 years.

 

 

The clinical teaching for students is conducted at its parental hospital Dr.BNME Trust’s Hospital, The hospital has 200 beds, General Surgery, General Medicine, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, Pediatric, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Psychiatry, ICCU, Major OT, Blood Bank. Regular camps are conducted in town & villages up to 200 kms free checkup, investigation & treatment are provided. Those who need inpatient refer to hospital.

 

College has adopted a village Honaganahalli near Bijapur for community health nursing experience, students & staff provide preventive & promotive care services to the population of this village.

For psychiatric nursing experience Govt. Mental Health Science & Research Centre Dharwad.

Laboratory: Institute has well equipped labs with advanced equipments.

Play Ground: Institute has a huge play ground provides Indoor & Outdoor game facilities.

The Nursing school is having its own specious building and is provided with all the basic requirements as per the Indian Nursing Council norms. At present departments are having necessary teaching staff with trained faculties. And other pre-clinical dept are also well equipped and maintained with necessary teaching aids such as models, charts and specimens etc for the purpose of demonstration to the students.
